Dresden Plate Pillow

In a past post I showed a Dresden plate sunflower which I hand appliqued onto a piece of muslin.

I finally,finally,finally made it into something other than this! I have a box that is labeled : To Finish
My goal this week was to finish a few of those. That takes me to this post.....

Originally, I had planned for this to be a long door hanger.. I was going to put a long stem on it and dress up my front door. Just as my patterns change, my life changes too! We recently moved 500 miles away and we are temporarily renting in an apartment complex while we house shop. Because of this I did not want to hang anything on the door. So low and behold.....

Ok, so it wasn't a drastic change but guess what? It's out of my To Finish box! I will do another one and it will be turned into something completely different.

If you would like me to do a YouTube tutorial please let me know by leaving a comment below. They can be time consuming and I don't mind doing one for this but I want to know people want to learn it before I do!

Maybe it's a bug! If so, I hope it stays around for a bit! I am loving the Dresdon Plate block! I decided to hand applique the sunflower one so when it is completely finished I will post a picture. In the meantime I made ANOTHER one! This one I left round and I quilted it. It is a perfect candle mat! This was easy and it took about an hour. You know the best part though.... SCRAPS!
